Dr. Tony Aherne

Tony has specialised in implant and aesthetic dentistry for over 30 years. He is a former secretary treasurer of the European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and is now a life member. He is also founder of the Irish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. Lectures and publishes extensively at an international level.

Dr. Stuart Aherne

Stuart qualified at The University of Wales, College of Medicine in 2001 and completed his vocational training in Cardiff in 2002. He attended a two-year course in implantology at the Royal College of Surgeons, London from 2009 to 2011.Stuart has also completed the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2016. Stuart is currently an Affiliate of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, a full member of the Digital Dentistry Society and the Irish Dentistry Association, a committee member of the Irish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, and a judge on the panel of the Irish Dentistry Awards. He is also and advisor for Thomen Medical. Stuart has been working at Aherne Dental Clinic since 2003.

Dr. Anastasia Chondrou

Anastasia graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2017. She had been practicing dentistry in the UK for five years, before she moved to Ireland. Since then, she has been practising dentistry in Cork, and continues to develop professionally. She completed her postgraduate certificate in Evidence Based and Clinical Implant Dentistry in 2022 from BAIRD Academy, Leeds. Additionally, she completed her three-year MSc Periodontology programme from UCL Eastman Dental Institute, London in 2023. Anastasia is a strong advocate of preventative dental care and dental health education with a patient centred approach and a special interest in periodontology and implantology. She is devoted to remaining up to date on the latest techniques to provide the highest level of patient care possible.

Linda Cummins

Linda has been our dental hygienist since 2017. She graduated from University College Cork with flying colours and was honoured with the prestigious Sensodyne award for obtaining the best overall result in the Diploma in Dental Hygiene examination. Linda has a wealth of experience in the dental hygiene field, honed from her years of work in specialised practices in London working alongside aesthetic and implants specialists, periodontists and orthodontists aswell as being the lead hygienist in running a fresh breath clinic. Lindas knowledge and expertise in prosthetic dentistry, especially in dental implants, sets her apart. Linda takes a holistic approach when it comes to each patient's dental care and is always eager to share her wealth of knowledge. Her gentle and caring demeanour, combined with her understanding nature puts even the most nervous patient at ease.

Ciara Nolan

Ciara graduated with honours from University College Cork in 2014. Since then, she has continually strived to update her knowledge and technical skills to provide the most evidence-based treatments to her patients. Ciara has worked as a dental hygienist for over seven years in a private practice in London, returning home to Cork in 2020. Ciara is also certified airflow provider with EMS and has undertaken many CPD courses, including periodontal disease management. She is very passionate about teaching her patients good efficient dental hygiene habits. Ciara always endeavours to make her patients feel at ease. Her gentle approach creates a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in clinic. Ciara is registered with the Irish Dental Council and is member of the Irish Dental Hygienists Association.
